No Gun Found After Police Respond To Welfare Check At Western Mass Home

Multiple police departments were on the scene of person potentially with a gun at a home in Western Massachusetts.

Monson Police along with several neighboring departments responded to a well-being check at a home on May Hill Road around 5:30 p.m., Monson Police said on Facebook. Upon arrival, officers believed there was possibly someone with a gun inside the home. 

However after making contact with the resident, police confirmed that they were safe and there was no one else inside the home that posed a threat.

The scene was cleared by 8:50 p.m., police said. No other details were released.
